WASHINGTON-SABA
The United States imposed Monday new sanctions on Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militia.
"There are new measures taken against four individuals, four entities and two ships helped in illegal transport of goods by financial companies supporting terrorism," said the Spokesperson of the US Department of State Mathew Miller.
The new measures include the financial facilitator network to Houthi militia blacklisted by the United States Saeed al-Jamal, who has been making use from expanded support network to facilitate illegal selling of goods, he added.
Miller confirmed that the United States will continue imposing sanctions on those who seek to facilitate these illegal activities.
Last February, the United Sates re-designated Houthi militia in the terror lists.
