NCIAVHR discusses with Dutch delegation human rights situations

National Committee for Investigation into Alleged Violations of Human Rights (NCIAVHR) held discussions today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden, with a Dutch delegation headed by the Director of the Middle East and North Africa office at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marc Gerritsen and the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen Jeannette Seppen over human rights situations and the Committee's efforts to investigate violations, document them and communicate with the victims.
The Chairman of the NCIAVHR Judge Ahmed al-Maflahi detailed the Dutch delegation on the Committee's mechanisms, methodology and efforts to investigate the reported violations and to document the investigated incidents.
Al-Maflahi highly appreciated the Netherlands' interest in human rights in Yemen.
The Dutch delegation praised the significant role the NCIAVHR has been undertaking to investigate violations of human rights and document them.
Mr. Gerritsen stated that the Dutch Foreign Ministry is keen to follow the NCIAVHR's actions and the Ministry will contribute to help the Committee to keep on doing its job.
