Vice Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Abd-Rabbu al-Mahwali conferred today, Sunday, in the temporary capital Aden with a visiting delegation from the UNESCO led by Director of the Regional Bureau for Gulf states and Yemen Salah Khalid over joint collaboration about improving technical and vocational training.
The discussions dealt with the UNESCO's programs and projects aimed to improve educational and training process in several Yemeni governorates.
Al-Mahwali detailed Khalid on the Ministry's plans and ongoing efforts to develop technical education and vocational training, citing the challenges it has been facing due to tough circumstances the country has been going through.
The Director of the UNESCO's Regional Bureau stated that the UNESCO is willing to support the educational and training process in Yemen.
Khalid mentioned that a draft proposal to develop the technical education and vocational system has been prepared. Proposal designed to help developing curriculums and repair some technical education institutes.
