Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Aidarous al-Zubaidi discussed today, Saturday, with French Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Katherine Corm Kammoun the latest developments about humanitarian situations, economic hardships, peace process and the prospects of the UN-brokered road map amid Houthi militias' continuous escalation in the Red Sea and Bab el-Mandeb.
The conversations which conducted via video conference technology also covered the security and military developments, first and foremost fighting terrorism in the government-held governorates and securing the regional waters and the persistent Houthi mobilization in several frontlines.
The government's efforts to provide basic services, mainly electricity, stop national currency exchange rates collapse, improve alternative sources of revenues amid the cessation of oil and gas exports were also touched upon.
The French Ambassador reiterated French government's commitment to support the PLC, continue to contribute to the humanitarian actions.
Kammoun also indicated that the French government is likely to increase its humanitarian interventions in the sectors of water, sanitation, support fishermen and empowering woman.
