Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barakan along with Deputy Speakers Mohammed al-Shadadi and Mohsen BaSorra met today, Sunday, with the Ambassador of the United States to the Republic of Yemen Seteven Fagin.
The heads of the parliamentary blocs Sultan al-Atwani, Ali al-Ma'mari, Abdulrhman Ma'zib and Ali al-Anisi were in attendance.
The meeting aimed to discuss the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena, ongoing efforts to make peace in Yemen and regional and international developments of common interest.
The discussions covered a wide range of topical issues including economic hardships, basic services troubles and security challenges due to Houthi militias' criminal practices and measures in different fields.
The Speaker of the Parliament, his deputies and heads of the Parliamentary blocs underscored the significant role the U.S.A. must undertake as a key international player and partner in bringing peace and supporting the Yemeni government to manage the economic challenges.
The American Ambassador has confirmed the American administration's support for the peace process in Yemen, reiterating Washington's steadfast support for Yemen's security, stability and unity.
Fagin also reaffirmed the American administration's support for the ongoing efforts to bring Yemen's crisis to its end and establishing permanent peace.
