Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak held talks today, Thursday, with the British Minister of State for Middle East, South Asia and Commonwealth Lord Tariq Ahmed over Yemeni-British bilateral relations and cooperation, developments in Yemen and issues of common interest.
Bin Mubarak highlighted the need to strike balance between the relief aid and the development support.
The Prime Minister also sought for establishing economic partnership and joint investment enterprises in several promising sectors in Yemen.
The Yemeni government's top priorities about the financial and administrative reforms, controlling corruption and enhancing transparency and accountability were elaborately discussed.
The talks also touched upon the ongoing efforts to resume the political process and to make peace in Yemen.
The British Minister reiterated London's support for Yemen's unity, security and stability.
Lord Ahmed also confirmed that the British government will continue to contribute to the efforts aiming to reach a political settlement to the conflict in Yemen.
