Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Hodeida Deputy Governor receives UN organizations' representatives in Aden

Deputy Governor of Hodeida Walid al-Qudaimi discussed Thursday here with representatives of the UN organizations the ongoing work of their missions and agencies in the liberated areas in Hodeida.

The meeting, which included the Officer of the UN High Commission of Human Rights in Yemen Muamar Shaker, along with Director of the UN Office in Aden Brett Andrew and Director of UNMHA in Aden Mohammed Mansour, touched upon Houthi terrorist militia's continued violations against sons of Hodeida, the recent one of these violations were seizing their lands in Bajil District and arbitrary actions and mass arrest on charges of spying and espionage.

Al-Qudaimi confirmed keenness of the local authority on forming joint mission from UN agencies of human rights, UN office and UNMHA to visit the liberated areas in Hodeida to inspect Houthi terrorist militia's violations, in addition to increasing UN humanitarian interventions to alleviate suffering of the Hodeidi people and displaced persons.
