Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahsani along with Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohsen al-Daeri attended a military parade carried out today, Tuesday, by units of the Hadrami elite armed and security forces at campus of the Police College in Hadramout governorate.
The military display organized to celebrate the 8th anniversary of liberating the cities Hadramout coastal regions from al-Qaeda terrorist organization's operatives.
General al-Bahsani delivered a keynote speech in which he recalled the heroic battles fought by the Hadrami elite armed forces against al-Qaeda terrorist organization.
He noted that huge sacrifices were extended by the Hadrami elite troops to drive al-Qadea's terrorist operative out of Hadramout governorate, re-establish security and stability.
" Great deal of sacrifices were made to get Hadramout free-terrorism, stable and secure, there were over 680 martyrs who sacrificed their lives to liberate the governorate from al-Qaeda organization", said al-Bahsani.
The Defense Minister described the 24th of April 2016 as a glorious day in the history of Hadramout—in particular and the life of the Yemeni people—in general.
