Minister of Oil and Mineral Dr. Saeed al-Shamisi held talks today, Tuesday, in the transitional capital Aden with the Charged' Affairs of the Chinese embassy in the Republic of Yemen Shao Zheng over bilateral collaboration in the fields of oil, gas, minerals and energy.

Al-Shamisi sought for greater partnership and cooperation with the People's Republic of China, citing the available investments opportunities in the areas of oil, gas, energy and mining.

The conversations touched upon the Yemeni-Chinese strategic partnership with the with China's Sinopec and Shanghai Torbay to modernize and develop Aden Refineries Company, to increase its Refineries total capacity up to 300 thousand barrels per day.

The Minister confirmed the Yemeni government's willingness to offer the Chinese companies all facilitations to establish their investments in oil, gas and minerals sectors.

The Chinese diplomat confirmed the Chinese government's supportive stances in support of the Yemeni government.
He also stated that China will continue to provide assistances to the Yemeni people amid current tough circumstances Yemen has been going through.
