Speaker of Yemen's parliament Sheikh Sultan al-Barakani and the Dutch Ambassador to Yemen Jeannette Seppen held discussions here today on prospects for Dutch-Yemeni cooperation to support development projects, mainly in the fields of basic services.

Al-Barakani also discussed with the Dutch Ambassador the mechanism for directly implementing the Dutch-backed programs so that the support reaches the needy families.

The two sides highlighted the need to transform donor interventions from mere relief aid to economic recovery and sustainable development projects.
