Deputy Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Shaddadi met Wednesday with the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Tulia Akson on the sidelines of his participation in the 148th General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Geneva, Switzerland.
During the meeting, al-Shaddadi, accompanied by Member of Parliament Nasser Bajil, discussed the situation in Yemen, which has burdened the citizens, especially the humanitarian conditions caused by the terrorist Houthi militias as a result of their coup against state institutions and their committing of heinous crimes against the Yemeni people.
The latest of these crimes was the bombing of civilian homes in the city of Rada'a in al-Baydha'a Province, targeting children, women, and the elderly, in a dangerous precedent within the context of their crimes of bombing the homes of dissenters.
For her part, The President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union expressed her gratitude to the Yemeni delegation for their participation in the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, emphasizing that one of their priorities is to find solutions to old and new conflicts and make efforts to stop them.
