Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan held Tuesday an elaborated meeting with concerned officials discussing with them health situations and the spread of a number of pandemics and plans to combat them.
In the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Governor for Health Affairs Elan Abdulhaq, Director of Health Office in Taiz Abdulrahman al-Saberi, directors of hospitals and directors of a number of executive offices in Taiz City, Governor Shamsan stressed importance of precautionary procedures and making plans for directed campaigns to combat these pandemics and working within one joint unit between relevant offices to get rid of causes of the pandemics, led by cholera and dengue.
He directed health office and cleaning fund and directors of the districts to remove wastes and report on hospitals' wastes to implement protection measures.
For his part, the director of health office reviewed a report on a number of pandemics, led by cholera with (141) cases, (36) of them were confirmed cases and (588) suspected cases of dengue fever, (180) of them were confirmed cases.
He also reviewed health emergency procedures and plans to combat the pandemics in reported districts and defining four health centers to cure spread diarrhea cases.
