Deputy Speaker of Parliament Mohammed al-Shadadi said since its coup d'état against the democratic government, the Terrorist Houthi militias has deliberately intended to establish a theocratic sectarian regime based on mythical claim that Houthis have an inherited divine right to be the rulers.

He added "To this end, they have adopted violent and terrorist policy, including demolishing houses of the opponents by explosives devices. As it happened last week in al-Baydah governorate where the militiamen flattened the fellow citizens' houses upon them, slaughtering dozen of women, children and elderly".

His statement came as he delivered a speech today, Tuesday, at the deliberations of the 148th Session of the General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, held in Geneva.

The gathering brought together speakers of Parliaments and heads of the delegations from 18o parliaments.
