State Minister, the Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas discussed Thursday with UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen Julian Harnes and his Deputy Digo Zorille UN forthcoming plans for urgent needs and transference from relief into development.
The meeting touched upon efforts of coordination and cooperation between the local authority and the UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in different related issues, including organizing support mechanisms and transferring from emergency support to sustainable one.
Minister Lamlas renewed call for holding regional conference under the UN to tackle issues facing Aden Province, especially illegal migration, confirming importance of humanitarian partnership with the United Nations for facing conditions imposed by Houthi terrorist militia's war on the people.
For his part, the UN Humanitarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen reviewed plans and programs of UN organizations during the forthcoming period, pointing out that the current condition in the Aden and other liberated provinces is suitable for work.
