ISLAMABAD –SABA
The Pakistani President Asif Zardari received today, Wednesday, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mohammed al-Ashbi.

Yemeni-Pakistani bilateral relations and cooperation was key focus of the discussions.

Al-Ashbi conveyed congratulations of President Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council to President Zardari on his election as President of Pakistan.

The Pakistani President praised the constructive and robust bilateral relations between the two countries, expressing Pakistan's willingness to further enhance bilateral collaboration in different fields.

Al-Ashbi updated Zardari on the latest developments in Yemen, blaming Iran-allied Terrorist Houthi militias for prolonging the conflict and worsening the Yemeni people's ordeal.

The Ambassador cited yesterday's heinous crime the militias committed in the city of Rada of al-Baidha governorate, where the militiamen bombed the house upon residents, as an example of the militias' crimes and grave violations against the Yemeni people.

Houthi militias' atrocities against the Yemenis are closely similar to the Israelis' against the Palestinians, al-Ashbi noted.
