Yemen has welcomed United Nations General Assembly's adoption of a draft resolution titled “Measures to Combat Islamophobia” and the appointment of a special United Nations envoy on combating Islamophobia.
In a statement the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized Yemen’s support for all international efforts aimed at combating radical ideas, extremism, bigotry and incitement and practice of violence against Muslims.
It highlighted the need to establish a culture of tolerance, peace and dialogue between proponents of religions and civilizations, based on human rights, and pluralism respect.
