Al-Mahrami discusses security plan with Head of Prisons Authority, Aden Director

Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman Saleh al-Mahrami held a meeting Tuesday here with the head of the Prison Authority, Brigadier General Saleh Abdul-Habib and the Director of Aden Security Brigadier General Mutahar al-Shuaibi.

During the meeting, al-Mahrami listened to a detailed report from the Director of Aden Security on the mechanism for implementing the exceptional security plan for the holy month of Ramadan, which was developed by the security administration to enhance stability and maintain public tranquility during the blessed month.

Al-Mahrami emphasized the necessity of coordinating and integrating efforts between security units and local authorities to accomplish their respective tasks, highlighting the importance of rehabilitating the police force and the infrastructure of the police station to enable them to perform their security duties effectively.

The meeting, attended by Colonel Captain Hussein, the director of the Central Mansoura Prison, also discussed the situation of prisoners and detainees and the extent of compliance by relevant authorities with applicable laws.

Al-Mahrami was briefed by the head of the Prison Authority on the measures taken to reform prisons and rehabilitate prisoners in all central reform institutions in the liberated provinces.

The meeting also discussed measures to reduce any violations of the rights of prisoners and detainees, as well as the necessary plans and strategies to reform and improve prison conditions by benefiting from international experiences.

Al-Mahrami emphasized the need to work in accordance with the principles and international standards related to the rights of prisoners, in coordination with relevant authorities.
