Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Abdulrahman al-Mahrami held Saturday elaborated meeting with leaders of local and executive authorities of Abyan Province with attendants of Governor of Abyan Abu Bakr Hussein Salem.

During the meeting, al-Mahrami addressed the attendees and commended the significant sacrifices made by the people of Abyan in confronting the Houthi militia and terrorist organizations.

He highlighted the strategic importance of Abyan, its diverse climatic regions (delta, coast, and mountains), its agricultural resources, and the need to mobilize efforts at all levels and in all domains to support the province.

The meeting included a detailed explanation by the governor of Abyan about the challenges faced by the province and the need for resources to alleviate the suffering of the population. The governor also presented the stalled projects in various sectors and discussed mechanisms for their resumption.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the president of Abyan University, directors of directorates, and executive offices in the province to share their work progress, difficulties encountered, and proposals for solutions. They highlighted issues such as the shortage of educational staff, inadequate infrastructure, and lack of equipment.

The meeting focused on the steps taken by the local authority to improve administrative work in the province. Abdulrahman al-Mahrami emphasized the importance of coordination between the local authority and the executive offices in Abyan, as well as the collaboration of all social components to ensure development and prosperity in the province.

He stressed the need for local leaders to engage with the public, understand their conditions, and work together with the governor to alleviate the citizens' suffering and improve their living conditions.

In conclusion, al-Mahrami reaffirmed the support of the Presidential Council and the government for the local authority's efforts in Abyan and other provinces, with the aim of meeting the needs of the citizens and resolving various issues and challenges faced by the local authority.
