Governor of Taiz Nabeel Shamsan discussed Sunday with UN Humanitiarian Affairs Coordinator in Yemen Julian Hazner future humanitarian and developmental interventions in Taiz.
Governor Shamsan touched upon economic and social plan in the province to be transferred then into sustainable development.
The plan, which was made with the former coordinator, includes topics associated with governance, transparency, accountability, protecting public funds, finalizing data, finding inclusive data bases and UN needed support to the plan.
He confirmed keenness of the local authority on providing all facilitations to the UN Humanitarian Affairs Office and providing necessary suitable environment to organizations working in humanitarian and developmental fields.
For his part, the UN official expressed happiness in his new duty in working in Yemen to alleviate humanitarian suffering through interventions and programs for the impacted areas.
He confirmed working with local authorities to continue UN efforts to finance the plan's objectives of Taiz province for 2024-2026.
