Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) Maj. General Faraj al-Bahsani blamed Iran-allied Terrorist Houthi militias for their piracy actions and attacks on the commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden.
He said" Houthi militias' useless and reckless operations on the commercial ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden are intended to obstruct the peace process and further protract the conflict in the country".
He voiced his comments during his talks today, Thursday, with Ambassador of the UK to the Republic of Yemen Abdah Sharif.
The conversations which conducted via video conference technology covered a range of topics including Yemeni-British bilateral relations, the latest developments in the Yemeni national scene and regional and international efforts to end the war and establish peace.
The British Ambassador reiterated London's support for the PLC and the Yemeni government headed by the newly appointed Premier to maintain the economic stability and go on the comprehensive reforms program it has embarked on.
