Member of the Presidential Leadership Council General Tareq Saleh received Monday a phone call from Ambassador of the European Union Gabriel Munuera Vinals.

The two parties discussed political process in Yemen, repercussions of Houthi terrorist militia's attacks in the Red Sea and repercussions of attacks against commercial ships on international imports harming countries overlooking the Red Sea in particular and the world in general.

The two parties confirmed importance of taking deterring measures against Houthi militia's threats against freedom of international navigation in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, which also will complicate economic and humanitarian situation in Yemen.

Member of the PLC expressed aspirations for continuing interventions of the European Union and its humanitarian contribution in supporting war-impacted people and strong cooperation with the government to enhance the work of infrastructure, services and economic reform plan.

The European Ambassador briefed Tareq Saleh on the nature of the awaited European Union's procedures in the Red Sea, which will commence its tasks during the forthcoming days to deter Houthi terrorist militia's attacks.
