JEDDAH – SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Sheikh Othman Mujalli met with the US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin today and discussed with him the bilateral relations and ways to promote them in various fields.

The talks went over the developments of the unjust Israeli war against the Palestinian people. Mujalli stressed that the Gaza issue is the top cause for all Arabs and Muslims including the Yemeni people.

He said all Yemenis reject the Israeli daily massacring of children, women and elderly people in Gaza, and the forcible displacement of the Palestinian people.

Mujalli warned that of the war's impact on a regional and international level, stressing the need for international action to stop Zionist aggression and arrogance in an urgent manner.

He appreciated the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their efforts to bring peace and stability to Yemen in cooperation and joint coordination with the UN and US envoys, and their continued support for the economy and the Yemeni people in various sectors, the latest of which is support for the Central Bank in the temporary capital, Aden, with a $250 million tranche yesterday to prop up the state budget and the government's ability to pay out salaries.

He attributed deteriorated economic and social conditions in Yemen to the Iranian-backed Houthi coup and the continuation of the Houthi war on the state and the Yemeni people, and the terrorist militia's evasion of peace and a parallel war and militarization of the Red Sea, stressing that the Yemeni people only want political support for the government and non-interference in their internal affairs, for them to be able to defeate the Houthi militia.

He said that the 2018 Stockholm allowed the Houthi militia an opportunity to carry on with killing the Yemeni people.

Mujali said, “The liberation of Hodeidah and every inch of Yemen does not mean a desire for war, but rather a defense of Yemen and its government, a self-defense, and a cut off of the Iranian intrusive arms to force the Houthis to sue for peace and entertain the idea of coexistence with other Yemeni compatriots.
