Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) announced today, Sunday, about the second payment of the Saudi grant totaling $1.2 billion aimed to support the economic reforms carried out by the Yemeni government.

The second payment is $250 million intended to help the Yemeni government to manage the state's general deficit.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that this amount is set to be allocated to support salaries, wages, operational expenses and food security in Yemen.

The KSA announced in August 2023 about an economic support for the Republic of Yemen with total amount 1.2 billion dollars in a response to a request by the Republic of Yemen to help it to cope with deficit of the state general budget, support salaries, wages, operational expenditures and support food security in Yemen.
