Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Technical Education and Vocational Training signed Monday here with Yamani Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Activities a Memo of Understanding to implement the Project of Orphan Sponsoring and Economic Enabling.

The project is financed by King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Activities Center.

The memo, which was signed by Deputy Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Abd- Rabbu al-Mahwali and Director of Programs and Projects of Yamani Foundation Anas Saif, aims at sponsorship and economic enabling of their families in the second phase in Aden, Lahj, Marib, Hadhramout, Mahrah, Taiz, Hodeida and Jawf.

The project targets 1300 orphans through providing them with school bags, providing sponsorship in field of education, health and livelihood, training 440 families in different professions and handing them over equipment helping them opening small projects after training.

Al-Mahwali confirmed significance of the project in alleviating suffering of families in need through creating work opportunities and sustainable source of income for them in the targeted provinces.
