Charged' Affairs of the embassy of the Republic of Yemen to Sofia, Bulgaria, Ahmed Shamer provided an informative presentation today, Thursday, about the recent events in the Red Sea amid the ongoing recurrent terrorist attacks by Iran-allied Terrorist Houthi militias on international maritime navigation and commercial ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.

In a gathering co-organized by the Yemeni embassy and the Bulgarian Journalists Union attended by the representatives and reporters of the Bulgarian media outlets, Shamer blamed the Terrorist Houthi militias for dragging the country into a military confrontation for propaganda purposes under misleading claims have nothing to do with the solidarity with the brothers in the occupied Palestinian territories.

He warned of the dangerous consequences of the continuation control over the regions overlooking the Red Sea by the Iran-backed militias.

Ambassador Shamer stressed that it is vitally important for the international community to support the internationally recognized Yemeni government in order to take control over all the Yemeni territories to ensure the region's security and stability and to secure the maritime navigation and international shipping lanes in the Red Sea.

He also called for designating the Houthi militia as a "Terrorist Organization" and getting it to engage in the efforts of de-escalation, establishing security, stability and peace in Yemen.

" The Yemeni government is categorically opposing the terrorist and maritime piracy actions that Iran-backed Houthi militias have been carrying out", said Shamer.
