Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik discussed with the resident representative of the United Nations Development Program in Yemen Zena Ahmed issues related to the humanitarian situation and the existing cooperation and coordination between the government and the United Nations to activate and increase relief and development work, in addition to the facilities the government provided to facilitate the performance of humanitarian work partners in various regions of Yemen.

The meeting touched on the measures and steps taken by the government to confront the potential effects on the humanitarian situation, in light of the US government’s reclassification of the Houthi militia as a terrorist organization, and joint coordination to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches all Yemeni areas in need without discrimination and remove any obstacles in this aspect.

The Prime Minister renewed the government's full support for the work of the humanitarian community, including international organizations and relief agencies, and facilitating their activities, and its categorical rejection of the arbitrary measures taken by the terrorist Houthi militia to expel United Nations employees and humanitarian relief agencies.
