BRUSSELS-SABA
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak called on the European Union (EU) to build a full-bodied partnership with the Yemeni Government to achieve peace, restore security and stability in Yemen; and blacklist Houthi militia as a "Terrorist Organization" for the grave crimes and violations it has been committing.
He voiced his call today, Thursday, during his talks in Brussels with the EU Political and Security Committee.
The discussions touched upon the prospects of the political process in view of the recent developments and events in Yemen.
BinMubarak explained that the Houthi militia has created security circumstances and troubles have made it difficult for the UN-led efforts to reach the needed road map to resume the political process.
He noted that the Houthi militia has used the security of the Red Sea for propaganda purposes that have nothing to do with the solidarity with the brothers in Gaza, it is rather to serve Iran's agendas and its expansion policy in the region.
The Foreign Minister reiterated the Yemeni government's steady support for the fair Palestinian cause, denouncing the grave crimes and violations the Israeli occupation troops have been committing against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, calling for pressuring the Israeli entity to stop the aggression.
