The Council of Ministers discussed Monday in a meeting presided by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik a number of topics and latest developments in different domains led by economic, service, political, military, security and living conditions and take a number of decisions on this regard.

The council discussed in the meeting, which has been held through visual communications technology, changes in exchange prices and measures to realize relative stability of the price of the national currency and keeping prices of basic goods stable to help alleviate suffering of Yemeni people over Houthi terrorist militia's attacks on oil facilities and navigation lines.

The council confirmed government's commitments to directives of the Presidential Leadership Council in handing over salaries of the government employees, improving public revenues and continuing economic, administrative and financial reforms with support from brothers and friends.

Prime Minister briefed members of the council on the latest political, economic, service, military and security conditions, including national and regional developments, repercussions of Houthi militia's terrorist attacks on international navigation lines, the militia's deadly approach of militarizing regional waters, complicating economic burdens and harming national sovereignty and interests of the Yemeni people.

He praised the international community's unity on Yemeni file and its united position towards dangerous threats to freedom of the international trade.

The council discussed reports by concerned ministers on problems of supplying power stations with fuel in the transitional capital of Aden and exerted efforts to overcome them, as well as imminent requirements for solutions of realizing relative stability in electric services.

The council listened to a report from the defense minister on latest military and security developments and continuous mobilizing by Houthi terrorist militia in different warfronts and the fighting readiness of the armed forces to deal with the militia's escalation.

The council confirmed that this Houthi terrorist militia's escalation against international navigation and targeting commercial ships confirmed that deterring the militia will be only by regaining the state and ending the militia's coup.

The council welcomed the decision taken by the International Justic Court and the included measures to end humanitarian suffering of the Palestinian People in Gasa Strip and considered it a step in the right direction helping in stopping genocide crimes by Israeli entity.

The Council of Ministers approved the draft decision of commencing implementation of expenses systems and monitoring commitment provided by finance ministry.

The council directed all government bodies included within the State Public Budget to abide by the decision and regulations made by the ministry regarding implementation of the system of controlling expenses.

The council agreed on the draft decision regarding basics of defining the value of the custom purposes on the bases of the review presented by Minister of Finance.

The draft decision stipulated that the foundations of the defining custom value included in the agreement of implementing the seventh article of the general agreement for definitions and trade (Custom Evaluation Treaty) and authorized minister of finance to issue executive directives to implement the decision.

The council approved amendments for the decision No. 3 of 2012 regarding formation of the Supreme Ministerial Committee to combat smuggling on the basis of the note presented by minister of finance.

The decision stipulated on forming the Supreme Committee for Combating Smuggling and be chaired by prime minister and membership of ministers of defense, finance, interior, justice, local administration and industry and trade and head of custom authority, head of coast guard, commander of border forces, deputy of national security office, deputy of political security organization and head of general union of commercial and industrial chambers.

The committee is tasked with a number of duties and specializations led by making general policies and strategies for combating smuggling and approving annual methods and plans and executive mechanisms to combat smuggling.
