Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik convened a meeting of the government aimed to discuss necessary measures to be taken to deal with the developments in the areas of economy, politics, security and military.

The discussions which conducted via video conference technology covered the government's plans to deal with the re-designation of the Houthi militia as a Terrorist Group in order to ensure that the designation will not affect the commercial businesses, national private sector, basic commodity supplies and humanitarian actions.

The repercussions of the persist Houthi militia's attacks on the international shipping lanes were also elaborately discussed.

Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Planning and International Cooperation, Defense, Industry and Trade and the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen provided reports about the repercussions of the terrorist attacks of the Houthi militias on the international shipping lanes that further increased the costs of maritime insurance and marine shipping.

The meeting reiterated the government's support for the humanitarian actions and the international organizations and the UN's agencies to keep on their operations in the country.
