The Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ahmad BinMubarak has said "Yemen is one of the most impacted countries over Houthi militia's terrorist acts in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab."

The commercial shipments coming to the ports of the Red Sea have been shrunk and shipping and insurance costs have increased as this threatens food security and complicates humanitarian and living conditions, he said.

The Houthi terrorist militia's acts are threatening series of importing through Bab al-Mandab which represents 15 percent of the international trade and consequently raising prices of manufactured goods over increasing shipping and insurance fees on trade ships, said BinMubarak in the Republic of Yemen's statement he delivered in the Third Summit of the Southern Countries of Group 7 and China is being held here.

He pointed out that the most urgent top priority of the Sothern States is regaining security and stability that all development efforts are based on through finding out solutions to current conflicts and tensions and working on meeting necessary needs of the countries are witnessing conflicts.

The continuous economic deterioration over Houthi terrorist militia's coup against the state in 2014 has led to increase of poverty rates and most of the people have become in need of humanitarian assistances or protection, he said.

He added that the humanitarian situation has been complicated since 2022 after Houthi terrorist militia targeted exporting oil port in Yemen and tankers and this impeded the most important source of government revenues, despite its limited shipments.

He confirmed support of Yemen to measure of creating international financial system to help the under developed countries recover from their crises and working on achieving the sustainable development plan 2030.

He emphasized necessity of dept pardon on poor countries and easing access to funds and loans to ensure influx of funds with positive privileges to finance infrastructure, development and education projects.
