A Conference on Yemen Water kicked –off its sessions today, Sunday, in the Jordanian capital Amman organized by the Water Security Coordination Group (WSCG) led by the Federal Republic of Germany and the UNDP in Yemen, with the participation of the Ministry of Water and Environment, UN's agencies and the technical team of Yemen partners.
40 technical Yemeni and international experts are engaged in the two-day gathering deliberations about the management of the water system in Yemen.
Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi provided a presentation about the national policies and programs of water and the Ministry's vision about the sustainable management of water in the country.
