Prime Minister receives British Ambassador to Yemen

RIYADH - SABA
Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik received today, Monday, Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to the Republic of Yemen Abdah Sharif to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries and the developments in the Yemeni national and regional arenas of common interests.

The conversations covered a range of topics including the UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen in view of the outcomes of the good offices made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, the terrorist Houthi militias' continuing threats to the international marine navigation and the repercussions of the Zionist entity's genocides and annihilation war against the Palestinian people in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The discussions also dealt with the Yemeni government's efforts to manage the economic hardships and to improve basic services and the people's living conditions.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government's support for the ongoing efforts to establish peace, noting that the government and the Presidential Leadership Council are keen to secure the international shipping lanes.

He made it clear that restoring the Yemeni state's institutions is prerequisite to secure the international maritime navigation as it is the main guarantee to maintain Yemen's sovereignty and stability.

The British Ambassador repeated her government's support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to maintain the economic stability and go on the public reforms.
