Finance Minister confers with British Ambassador over economic developments

RIYADH - SABA
Minister of Finance Salim bin Bureik met today, Wednesday, with British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Abdah Sharif.
They discussed the developments about the financial, economic and monetary situations as well as aspects of collaboration and coordination between the two countries in different fields.
The conversations covered topics relating to the comprehensive reforms the government has been working on backed by the brothers and friends in order to improve basic services and living conditions.
Bin Bureik cited the major challenges the government faced by due to Iran-allied terrorist Houthi militias' escalation, including attacks on oil facilities that ceased oil exports for over one year.
The Minister highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to manage the economic hardships and to carry out a package of financial, monetary and administrative reforms to improve the state's revenues and the people's living conditions.
The British Ambassador renewed her government's support for the Yemeni government and people to achieve the permanent and comprehensive peace and alleviate the humanitarian suffering.
