Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nizar Basuhayb participated today in the first meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Planning Institute held in the State of Kuwait.
The meeting, with the participation of representatives of the Institute’s Arab member states will discuss the Institute’s achievements during the past year and plans for the current year 2024.
At the opening of the meeting, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd, stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab action to face the challenges of global economic and social developments, pointing out that the Institute is considered one of the most important institutions for joint Arab development work, and that the Institute is keen to providing its services and development efforts in line with regional and international economic developments.
For his part, Dr. Basuhayb praised the large and important role played by the Institute in developing capabilities and upgrading public institutions.
He touched on the needs facing Yemen to overcome its ordeal and achieve economic development in its various dimensions and the efforts adopted by the Institute to keep pace with the development and support of the desired development process in the country.
