Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, met today in the interim capital, Aden, with the head of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, Muhammad Al-Ghaithi, and his deputies, Abdul-Malik Al-Mikhlafi, Sakher Al-Wajeeh, Jamila Ali Raja, and Akram Al-Amiri.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in the political situation in Yemen and efforts related to the peace process.
Major General Al-Zubaidi renewed his support for the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission, stressing the importance of its role in supporting and assisting the Leadership Council and the peace process file, and the necessity for the components, political forces and active parties to participate in any discussions or decisions in the peace file and political settlement, stressing the centrality of the southern issue at all stages.
While the leadership of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission confirmed its continued intensification of its efforts to build and develop joint negotiating positions among all parties, stressing the need for the joint negotiating delegation to begin its duties and responsibilities as a representative of the various forces included within the framework of the Presidential Leadership Council.
