Yemen has participated in the 100th regular session of the Standing Committee for Arab Media, held in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.

The session, with the participation of Yemen’s representative to the Committee, Counselor Baligh Al-Mikhlafi, discusses a number of files on its agenda, the most important of which is the Palestinian issue, and the mechanisms for Arab media dealing with the unjust war led by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian Arab people in the Gaza Strip, and how the Palestinian and Arab media content was blocked by international media platforms and the role of the Arab media in confronting that.

The meeting also discussed the plan for Arab media action abroad and the importance of launching the Arab Media Observatory and the integrated platform as soon as possible to contribute to supporting Arab issues, most notably the Palestinian issue, and correcting the false image of Arab and Islamic societies in the West through purposeful and appropriate content that keeps pace with the developments of the times and its requirements.

Our country was elected to chair the mini-committee responsible for following up on the establishment of the observatory, which is composed of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan, and Yemen.
