Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Saghir bin Aziz, participated in the second meeting of the Chiefs of Staff of the countries of the Islamic Military Coalition to Combat Terrorism, which was held today in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
During the meeting, the Chiefs of Staff discussed the coalition’s strategy and the initiatives it is working on that are concerned with the areas of work of the Islamic Coalition.
The objectives of these initiatives and their role in serving member states were also discussed, in a way that would combat terrorism and reject violence and extremism.The meeting comes within the framework of preparation for the meeting of defense ministers of the Islamic coalition countries, which is scheduled to be held in February 2024.
He was accompanied during his participation in the conference by: Head of the Yemen Mission in the Islamic Military Coalition, Major General Tawfiq Al-Qayz, Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Yahya Salah, Commander of the Ataq Axis, Major General Adel Ali Hadi, Commander of the Abyan Axis, Brigadier General Sanad Al-Rahwa, and the military attaché at the Embassy of Yemen in Riyadh, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Wael.
