The Yemeni government stressed that it is very important to respect International Humanitarian Law and enable humanitarian workers to play their role in delivering humanitarian assistance to needy groups in areas of conflict and war.
The government noted, in a speech delivered by Executive Director of the Board for Accelerating the Absorption of Donor Pledges and Supporting the Implementation of Reform Policies Afrah al-Zouba at a function organized today, Monday, by the UN in the Qatari capital, Doha, aimed to launch an overview of Global Humanitarian Action (GHO) for upcoming year 2024, that there is a clear disregard for humanitarian laws and international norms in many conflicts around the world.
To support her argument, al-Zouba cited the Israeli occupation troops' atrocities and crimes against the Palestinian civilians in Gaza Strip.
The government confirmed that the international organizations which are charged with enforcing these laws have failed to remove the obstacles which have been imposed by the Houthi militias on the transfer and delivery of humanitarian aids to the people in need.
