Yemen, represented by Finance Minister Salem Bin Breik participated today in the high-level meeting on the new collective quantitative goal on climate finance, as part of the activities of the 28th World Climate Summit hosted by Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
In our country’s speech, Minister Ben Breik stressed the importance of the meeting to reach common ground that achieves the climate action goals stipulated in the Paris Agreement, and that the current dialogues on the new collective goal estimated for grant financing are crucial to saving weak and climate-fragile countries, since climate change constitutes a unique and unprecedented threat.
