Minister of Transport Dr. Abdulssalamm Humaid held discussions today, Saturday, with the Secretary-General of the
International Maritime Organization (IMO) Arsenio Antonio over cooperation between the IMO and the Yemeni government.
The talks held on the sidelines of the meetings of the IMO held in London.
Humaid's conversations with Antonio aimed to explore the IMO's support for the maritime transport sector in Yemen.
The discussions touched upon maritime incidents and challenges in the Red Sea, Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden due to Houthi militias' recent terrorist practices and operations of piracy.
