Riyadh - Saba
The Yemeni Ambassador to Riyadh, Dr. Shaye Al-Zindani, inaugurated the issuance of smart ID cards at the embassy's headquarters as the first center abroad to see the launch of “smart cards” for Yemeni nationals.
Al-Zindani said that the embassy made great efforts to coordinate with the Ministry of Interior in order to open the automated issuance center for smart cards to serve Yemeni residents in Saudi Arabia, and to facilitate all services related to consular affairs such as issuing passports, civil and personal status transactions, and others.
He added, "We will make every effort to serve the Yemeni citizen in the Kingdom, with the latest technologies that save Yemeni nationals time and effort, and the process of issuing smart cards through the 'book an appointment' service from the embassy's portal on the website will be similar to the procedures followed in the passport issuance service."
