The Ministry of Interior launched the civil status system for issuing ID cards with a smart chip, in line with the government’s requirements and goals in the technological and electronic field to develop the country’s information infrastructure.
Deputy Minister of Interior for the Civil Services Sector, Major General Abdul Majid Al-Amiri, affirmed the Ministry's keenness to strengthen the field of civil status with the latest and finest technological and electronic systems with the aim of providing optimal services to citizens and enabling them to obtain modern identity documents, indicating that the implementation of the civil status system will begin to issue the smart personal card in Aden.
