The Yemeni Ambassador to Riyadh Dr. Shaye' Al-Zindani and the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Yemen Shao Zheng opened today a symposium on relations between the two countries and development opportunities.

The symposium was organized by the Yemeni Embassy in Saudi Arabia and the Chinese Embassy in Yemen, in partnership with the Messengers of Peace Organization.

The Yemeni ambassador said in a speech that the relations between the two countries are a bright and important mark in the history of Yemeni diplomatic relations. "We are proud of this relationship and we are working to develop it and enhance cooperation and partnership with China," he said.

He said: The relationship with China is distinguished by the fact that it is not based on a political or ideological dimension.

China always adopts future and neutral political behavior, in a way that serves the people, while it focuses its other efforts on building its economy and developing itself until it has become one of the strongest economies in the world."

Al-Zindani praised the Chinese political support for Yemen in all international forums, pointing to examples of the gains of the relationship between the two countries, such as the Sanaa - Hodeidah, Sanaa - Saada, Aden - Mukalla roads, and the Chinese Friendship Bridge in Sana'a.
