Minister of State and Governor of Aden Governorate, Ahmed Lamlas, discussed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen Jeannette Seppen the humanitarian conditions in Aden governorate and its needs for development and service interventions.

The meeting touched on the difficulties facing the electricity, water, health, and education sectors and the local authority’s efforts to address and overcome them, in addition to the worsening economic conditions, rising prices, and devaluation of the currency, and their negative repercussions on citizens’ livelihoods.

Minister of State Lamlas reviewed the efforts made by the local authority in the governorate to normalize life in the city and improve services, pointing to the governorate’s greatest needs for development projects to advance various aspects.

The Governor of Aden said, “The development work has not yet reached the desired level, and what has been achieved during the past period is primarily driven by the will and serious efforts of the local authority in all districts and executive offices.” He stressed the importance of community partnership in achieving social peace and enhancing security and stability.
