The Council of Ministers devoted its session today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik to review the developments in the national scene and regional arena.
The government's measures and efforts to improve the public revenues, basic services, control corruption and keep on implementing the economic, financial and services reforms program were key focus of the Cabinet's discussions.
The situations in the governorate of Hadramout were elaborately discussed.
The governor of Hadramout reported to the Cabinet about the economic, security and basic services situations, pressing challenges need to be addressed, local authorities plans and efforts and the required resources and the needed support by the government to sustain the local authority's efforts to improve basic services.
The Cabinet gave quite space of its session to review the ongoing efforts to handle the consequences of the tropical cyclone "Tej" in the eastern governorates of Socotra, al-Mahra and Hadramout.
The Ministers in charge reported to size of the damages caused by the cyclone and the joint efforts have been made by the local authorities and the government to manage the natural disaster's effects, reinstate basic services and repair the affected facilities.
The Council of Ministers welcomed the outcomes of the joint Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit held in Riyadh recently which asserted the right of the Palestinian people to establish its independent state, to break the Israeli blockade on Gaza, to carry out international investigation into the Israeli war-crimes against the Palestinian people.
The Cabinet reiterated the Yemeni government's condemnation of the continuation of the Israeli annihilation war and genocides against the Palestinian people.
It also strongly denounced the Israeli occupation forces' attacks on the civilians and civil facilities including the intentionally bombardment of the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for Reconstructing Gaza and the UN's Offices.
