Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik held discussions today, Tuesday, via video conference, with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Abdah Sharif over the developments in the Yemeni national arena and the British support for the government's efforts to manage the economic hardships, improve basic services and keep on the reforms program.
Dr. Ma'een updated Sharif on the challenges facing the Yemeni government in the economic, financial and services domains, citing the government's ongoing reforms and efforts to address the pressing needs and maintain the economic stability.
The Prime Minister underscored the need for the international support to sustain the government's efforts to handle the economic challenges.
He also touched upon the UN-led efforts to revive the political process, stressing the importance of the international pressure upon Houthi militias to push the peace process.
The British Ambassador reiterated her government's support for the internationally recognized Yemeni government, its reforms and efforts to maintain the economic stability.
