Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Nizar BaSoheib held discussions today, Thursday, in the transitional capital Aden with the Director of the UNESCO's Culture Project in Yemen Nuno Olveira over joint cooperation and efforts to carry out projects designed to preserve the historical sites and monuments .
The conversations focused on the UNISCO's Culture Project Cash-for- Labor worth $20 million intended to be carried out in 8 governorates to repair the historical buildings and monuments as well as to rehabilitate the museums.
Dr. BaSoheib pointed out to the great deal of damages the Yemeni historical sites and antiquities suffered amid the war, affirming the government's keenness on preserving the nation's cultural heritage.
