KSrelief launches Orphan Sponsorship, economic enabling in eight provinces

King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Activities Center or (KSrelief) launched Thursday in the transitional capital of Aden the project of Orphan Sponsorship and Economic Empowerment to families in eight provinces.

The project aims to provide financial and moral support to orphans and their families in provinces of Aden, Lahj, Hadhramout, Mahra, Hodeida, Taiz, Marib and Jawf through sponsoring 1300 orphans; providing to them living, educational and health care, in addition to empowering 440 person from the targeted families in livelihood and providing them income-generating small projects, in addition to psychological support.

Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Mohammad al-Zaori commended the significant role played by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in providing necessary support to the Yemeni people through their humanitarian agencies. He emphasized that such programs targeting family empowerment contribute to alleviating suffering of the citizens.

For his part, the Coordinator of Relief Committee Jamal Balfakih praised KSrelief for providing necessary support to implement developmental projects to alleviate suffering of the people over economic and social crisis.

The Head of Yamani Foundation for Development and Humanitarian Activities Ahmed al-Akwa'a confirmed that the project comes in the framework of KSrelief's care in Yemen, pointing out that the project targets 1740 beneficiary for full year.
