His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received today, Wednesday, in al-Ma'ashiq Palace in the temporary capital Aden the credentials of the newly appointed ambassadors to the republic of Yemen including: Non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa Mogobo David, non-resident Ambassador of the Republic of Poland Robert Rostek.
His Excellency also received the credential papers of the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea DO Bong-kae, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) Abda Sharif f and the Ambassador of the Republic of France Catherine Corm Kammoun.
After the ceremonies, President al-Alimi separately met and welcomed the newly appointed Ambassadors, asking them to convey his compliments to the leaders of their own countries, promising them every necessary facilitations to help them doing their job.
In his conversations with the Ambassadors the President touched upon the Israeli dangerous escalation in Gaza Strip, its subsequent repercussions upon the security and stability in the region, the required role by the international community to stop the bloodshed and enable the Palestinian people to establish its independent state based on the international resolutions in relevance and Arab Peace Initiative.
His Excellency reiterated the stance of the Republic of Yemen in rejecting the elimination of the fair Palestinian cause, denouncing the Israeli brutal assaults and atrocities and forcefully displacing the population that threatens the lives of millions of the Palestinians.
The Chairman of the Political Leadership Council praised the good relations between the Republic of Yemen, the UK, the Republic of France, South Korea, Poland and South Africa, appreciating the supportive stances of the five friendly countries in support of the Yemeni people, its political leadership and its aspirations to restore the state's institutions and eliminate the Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup.
President al-Alimi briefed the newly appointed Ambassadors on the latest developments in the Yemeni national scene including the ongoing peace efforts led by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman and the needed international pressures to get the Houthi militias to deal constructively with these efforts.
