The Minister of Defense (Lt Gen) Mohssen Ada'ari convened a meeting of the High Security Committee (HSC) today, Monday, in the temporary capital Aden to discuss the topical issues in the national scene.
The meeting brought together Minister of Interior Maj. General Ibrahim Haidan, Chief of the Political Security Organization Abdoh al-Hothaifi, the Chief of the National Security Organization Maj. General Ahmed al-Masa'bi, Chief of the Military Intelligence Authority Maj. Ahmed al-Yafieai.
The session intended to discuss security challenges and the risks poses by the terrorist organizations including al-Qaeda, ISIS, Houthi militia and the smuggling of weapons and drugs in which Houthi militias has been actively engaged in.
In this regard the HSC hailed the efforts of the security services in al-Mahra governorate which managed to seizure a shipment of devices relating to the drones was en route to the Houthi militia.
The HSC reviewed the security campaign in the temporary capital Aden aimed to ban carrying unlicensed weapons, motorcycles and unnumbered vehicles.
The discussions touched upon the problem of the influx of the illegal African migrants who arrive in the Yemen seashores on a daily basis.
